OUR EXPERIENCE
Since 1987 P.T. First has worked with patients from literally hundreds of companies.

John Ash has worked with hundreds of local Workers' Compensation professionals, including doctors, rehabilitation nurses, disability analysts, human resources representatives and other company and labor representatives.
Whether the work-related injuries are recent, or there are many months to years from the date of onset, companies and patients are both looking for the best treatment.
SAFETY TRAINING
Your company wants to keep workers healthy, safe and productive.
John Ash, P.T. has provided hundreds of seminars to both employees and management of many Milwaukee area companies, teaching classes on such topics as spinal protection and injury prevention.
Groups of from five to three hundred people have benefitted from these classes.
A presentation by John was featured as part of a five-country Joy Global teleconference hosted by the Harnischfeger Corporation as part of their worldwide effort to decrease injury levels and raise safety awareness.

WORKERS' COMPENSATION
Over fifty percent of P.T. First’s referrals are for work-related injuries. We understand the specific needs of various companies and patients as related to this area.
With P.T. First, one experienced Physical Therapist will work with each patient, improving communication with the company and ensuring continuity of care for that patient.
The goals, intensity and duration of workers’ treatments need to be customized to the individual. Our experience with work injuries allows for a more accurate tailoring of these to workers' needs.

Workers' Compensation cases typically involve a variety of unique needs, related to documentation, communication, awareness of standards and progression of status/ activity level. Skill in these are earned through experience. P.T. First's experience will benefit workers and the company they work for.
WORKER SUPPORT
Employees appreciate the convenience of on-site treatment. They benefit from starting right away, so they recover sooner, return to work sooner, and also regain the ability to enjoy other activities, sooner.

Employees with a Workers' Compensation claim can call directly or have a company rep contact P.T. First to coordinate therapy with the work schedule, which saves the employee time and stress, and helps ensure that the scheduled session is coordinated with important work responsibilities.

Billing and other paperwork can be managed directly with the company rep as well.
RETURN TO WORK SOONER
Both the patient and the company benefit from a person's return to full function.
The same injury that prevents a full return to work makes a patient less able to enjoy sports, hobbies and even simple activities such as picking up a child or opening a car door.

Because patients can start treatment immediately, they will start improving sooner. Other facilities have a three week waiting time to start physical therapy treatment; a patient at P.T. First can be done with therapy and back to full duty before he/she would even start treatment at one of these other clinics!
If the patient needs additional care from a doctor, that will be revealed sooner as well, increasing the likelihood, extent, and rate of healing

Patients and companies both win when a patient returns to work and full function sooner.
